Education is the most powerful weapon to engineer social change. It is the process of acquiring knowledge, values, and skills. Education helps us realize our inner self which in turn helps us know the world around us better and most importantly helps draw up ourselves to face the challenges of life. Teachers play a crucial role in the process of education. They are the ones who help shape up the lives of the students they teach. Teachers can mould students the way they desire based on the needs of time and trends in our systems.

For students, it’s imperative to go through the circle of studying, understanding, and realizing, and become good professionals, and more importantly great human beings. For teachers, it is even more vital to equip themselves with the latest developments in their respective fields and get the hang of new tools and techniques to develop proficiency and enliven the teaching-learning process.

With the right blend of academic commitment and professional competencies, Patharkandi College of Education has been playing a key role in training students and teachers. We take immense pride in the fact that we have been making remarkable strides in the larger transformation of teachers and students coming from different corners of the country. Ever since the establishment of the college in the year 1995, we have produced an impressive network of academicians working in different parts of the country. We endeavor to impart quality learning with an emphasis on the holistic development of students with the right values and imbue students to develop a positive lifelong learning attitude.

Our excellence wades beyond the confines of the classroom. We conduct workshops, seminars, guest lectures and other co-curricular activities to expose student teachers to aspects beyond the curriculum. Our trainees have set a track record of holding top positions in the final examinations every year. I am proud to be part of Patharkandi College of Education, dedicated to the cause of nation-building. I am honored to have a group of very energetic, committed and efficient teacher educators and support staff with me to take the journey forward. I am sure, together, we can make this institute an epitome of learning through diligence, devotion and dedication and fulfill the long-cherished dream of our founder and social worker, the late Prof. Quomrul Hoque.
